Broken Trust Cellars was started with the idea that laughter and knowing you’re not alone can change the world. In 2018, Beth found herself navigating her way through the painful aftermath of a difficult divorce. When she reconnected with Chris, a friend from high school, he did the one thing he thought might help, even for a moment – he made her laugh. On an evening talking about wine, loss and love, Chris coined the names of the company and wines you see now. Beth did laugh that night. What happened next surprised them both.
2018
Broken Trust Cellars was started with the idea that laughter and knowing you’re not alone can change the world.
2019
In 2019, Chris and Beth were married. But starting a winery was the LAST thing they ever dreamed of doing. It was COVID. It was a time of change, frustration and uncertainty.
2022
But in 2022, after some chance conversations with close friends, the 50-something couple said, “we don’t want to ask ourselves ‘why didn’t we try?’… Let’s DO THIS!”

- First Bottling
Not even knowing where to start, Beth and Chris worked toward their dream of winery ownership. It would take two full years before the first bottling. From wines to design, every aspect of Broken Trust Cellars was designed with the idea that laughter and quality DO go together. The bottle is the punchline, NOT the wine.
Our desire to make excellent wines is only outdone by our desire to see people smile, start conversations, and to embrace truth, empowerment and ultimately, connection. And after we’ve brightened your day, maybe you can pay it forward with a gift to someone else.
